I love these boots so far….just received these in Size 8. I returned the size 7 boots because I normally wear 6-1/2 shoes, so I always size up in boots to allow for socks. However, even the Size 7 was a bit too short & tight for me. First of all, there’s no zipper to allow extra room in putting on/taking off the boot. There is a buckle on the outside which you can loosen but, frankly, I still had to fight to get my 6-1/2 foot down into the Size 7. I eventually did, but found then that my toes were extremely close to the end of the boot inside and I was not wearing heavy socks at the time I tried them on. I didn’t think just a 1/2 size more in length would be enough so when I reordered I went up to a Size 8. Yes, I do love the look and durability so much I still wanted them. Going up 1-1/2 sizes for me works perfectly! I was able to comfortably insert my foot down into the boot (didn’t even need to open the side buckle…) and the length is perfect!! They are not too long, either. Very comfortable and look great.By the way, I ordered these in both Black and the Tan colors so when the Size 7 Tan arrives I’ll immediately return them for a refund, too, because I have a Size 8 Tan already on the way. These have Free Returns and the process is easy… I just printed out the return label, affixed it to the original box & dropped it off at a local UPS drop off site, getting a receipt. I got my Refund Confirmation email the very next day.>>> Update: Just received the Hickory/Tan size 8 and I’M IN LOVE! The Hickory color, to me, is even more beautiful than the Black, if that’s possible! Wow! With these I think I’m done for a lifetime because they’re well made, sturdy and stylish for this 73 year old lady! Absolutely love both the Black and Hickory colors and can wear them with any outfit! My recommendations are: (1). Size Up and (2). Get in more than one color! You won’t regret it!
