I bought these for durability for extensive walking and light hiking while on a trip. They are attractive, the gray tones are more bluish than I expected. I found them to be much too tight across the top of the foot, and I was unable to wear my orthotic in the shoe until after I cut that pink elastic thingy out (I guess I could have in theory made it looser by ripping up the seam that is sewn into that pink elastic thingy but it was so well reinforced that I just resorted to cutting the thing out). In retrospect, I think I should have bought a larger size. I wear 8.5 and bought an 8.5. Otherwise, it feels very comfortable and my foot feels quite stable while walking.Overall this shoe is great. It runs a little more narrow and longer than the previous version. I wear a 7 1/2 and I bought the 7 1/2, it feels just a little bit long. I just wear a thicker sock. I like the fact that it’s not as wide as the previous version, my feet don’t slip in these. I wear them running in sand and mountain/canyon trails. Would recommend.I’m usually a size 5 in women’s, and these fit perfectly. I chose the brook’s calderas because they are part of the energizing aspect of brook’s running shoes. Let me tell you, I definitely feel the extra bounce they give back when I’m running, or when I’m just doing burpees. They also hold up to their ‘trail running’ name, because the tread is awesome for dirt trails.I ordered a half size bigger to wear thicker socks but it still fits snug but not uncomfortable. Perfect shoe for hiking great tread. Material on top has me a little concerned that it may not hold up under severe wear. Best cushioning but downside is my orthodics won’t fit in the shoe w/o making my foot sit too high.I have been a Brooks Adrenaline fan since 2011, but I decided to take a chance on the Caldera since the Adrenaline ASR trail shoe has been discontinued and the toe box seems to be getting wider & wider with each new model (also, they've not been holding up very well on the trail). I love the Caldera 3!! Perfect fit with great arch support for my flat feet and lots of grip on the trail.I ordered the 6 and 6.5. The 6 seemed a bit tight so I sent those back. The 6.5 is ok but seems to run a bit big.I had never tried Brooks brand shoes.I am a size 6.5-7 and usually buy 7’s for running and am good.My feet have no issues.These are cool shoes but they felt SO short. My toes were at the very end and the tops of the shoes pressed down onto my toes and the top of my foot.The fit was so strange and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately had to return them.I would be cautious, unless you have tried the brand/style.I wish they had kept the same toe box as Caldera 2. This is more like the Brooks Ghost running shoes I've bought in the past.Great purchase, love a bargain, got these at a great priceIt is everything that is described.Me gustan mucho. Muy cómodas.
